Since taking the leadership role as the
Veritas Christian Club president in September 2005 (Fall Semester) at Montgomery County Community College, I decided it was time for me to part. Today we celebrated what God had done in the life of our club with lots of food and year in review presentation. It was our last meeting and time together until the 2007-2008 Fall semester. Some members and regular attendees will not be coming back because most will transfer to a 4-year college/university. During the meeting we ate great food as I showed the power point presentation with all the photos of our club's accomplishments and activities this year. I invited the director of Students Activities and a long-time member of the
MCCC, Brian
Brenlinger, to come and share the story of how the Christian Fellowship Club came to be in our college campus. Brian had worked at this institution for 38 years and his father is one of the founders of this amazing college. Brian was able to recollect stories of early club's founders and how it came to be as one of the most respected clubs on Montgomery County Community College campus.
As the current president of this club, I was blessed to serve all the students and continue the long-standing tradition of its existence. In June 2005, I launched the first ever club's own website
www.cfc2007.com, a helpful tool through which students can use to communicate and receive latest updates. Together we have done numerous volunteer work on campus, around the community and even on a national level when we traveled to Lexington, Kentucky on March 12-17, to work side by side with Lexington Habitat for Humanity in building a house for a single mother of three, Patsy
Kozak. This, than any other previous years, we have grown in number up to 30 active members. I thank God for His awesomeness and constant provision.
My next task is to find qualified leader for next semester after my exit from leadership post. I have to think and pray so God can show me the right person to appoint and then plan the initial election at the
beginning of the next 2007-2008 semester.
